Thanks for stopping by my little space in the inter web world!  My name is Misty and I’m the wife to my college sweetheart and mom of two energetic little boys.  We love living in Austin, TX.  Since I was a little girl I have always loved making things with my hands.  Everything from drawing to crocheting to cooking I have an appreciation to the details and passion that go into something handmade. My sewing story begins in 2003 when my mom gave me a sewing machine for Christmas.  I had no idea what to do with it so I took a couple classes at a local sewing school and the sewing bug bit.  At the time I loved sewing purses and other bags and also expanded a little into jewelry making.  I even sold my handmade creations on Etsy and at craft fairs.  After a career change and then becoming a new mom, my crafting hobby had to be temporarily put on the back burner.  A couple of years after having my second child I was yearning to find my love of making again and became interested in sewing my own clothes.  In 2016 I took a couple of classes again, this time in garment sewing and I haven’t stopped since.   

Since I’m a busy mom, I love sewing from patterns that are simple in construction yet current with fashion trends. I like to use comfortable fabrics that match my lifestyle like knits and rayon.  With every project I am learning something new.  I make a lot of mistakes but try my best to recover and complete my projects.  I think it’s so important for moms to not only take a little time out for their passions but to also feel good when they get dressed.  I aim to style my outfits that are realistic and comfortable for a stylish mom on the go like me.  I hope you find something you like here and get inspired to create.
